On the 13th of October, PM Gati Shakti, a master plan to give a major boost to the country’s infrastructure development was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ₹100 lakh crore plan aims to leverage digital technology to bring better synergy among different government departments. It will expedite the project planning and implementation process, curbing cost overruns. Gati Shakti will bring 16 crucial ministries such as railways, roads and highways, petroleum & gas, telecom, power, shipping and aviation under the ambit of one single platform. What makes Amnex proud is that we have already set an example of how efficiently this system can work with our Data Lake project for NHAI (National Highways Authority of India).
Data Lake-Gati Shakti’s miniature version- is Amnex’s cloud-based, AI-powered big data analytics platform. It has empowered NHAI to manage an enormous network of over 69,000 Kms efficiently. The autonomous body is handling 1700 projects involving more than 4500 stakeholders across the country. Data Lake is acclaimed as a game-changer in the field of infrastructure development, which is at the heart of GOI’s mission Gati Shakti.
Bringing all vital data to one platform, NHAI Data Lake enables authorities to track pending decisions, approvals and payments; and prompts timely intervention. The infrastructure industry can flourish only when the decisions are made faster, the construction process is speedy, and disputes are less. Data Lake has helped NHAI achieve all these within a span of one year.
Apart from Data Lake, Amnex has been working on another exciting project aligned with PM Gati Shakti master plan. In the first project with the central Ministry of Commerce and Industry, we will develop a geoanalytics-based planning and monitoring tool. This LPPT (Logistics Planning and Performance Monitoring Tool) will be used by various ministries, government agencies and private entities. Designed to facilitate collaboration for logistics operations across the nation, LPPT will bring down the logistics cost significantly and help improve India’s Logistics Performance Index.
