Apache NiFi

Data flows your team can see, control, and maintain

We provide Apache NiFi consulting, deployment, data-flow development, integration, and operational support. We help organizations move data between systems through flows that are easier to observe, troubleshoot, and maintain.

A practical foundation for your team

Whether you are replacing scripts, connecting enterprise applications, or stabilizing an existing NiFi environment, we work with your team to understand the data journey and its operational requirements. Our services cover flow design, delivery behavior, security, performance, and the procedures needed to keep data moving.

A working data flow needs more than a successful connection. Source availability, destination limits, data quality, queue growth, and failure handling affect how it behaves in production.

We help your team make those behaviors explicit, with clear routing, monitoring, and recovery steps for the conditions that matter to your business.

What we do

Our Apache NiFi Services

01 / 10

Architecture and Flow Assessment

Plan NiFi around the systems it connects and the delivery requirements of each flow. We review data volumes, transformation needs, network boundaries, and operating responsibilities to establish a practical architecture and implementation sequence.

  • Source and destination assessment
  • Flow dependency mapping
  • Cluster and storage planning
  • Throughput and capacity estimates

02 / 10

Deployment and Cluster Configuration

Prepare NiFi environments for development and production use. We configure the selected deployment, repositories, connectivity, and cluster settings, then validate the environment and record the information administrators need for ongoing operations.

  • Installation and configuration
  • Repository and disk layout
  • Cluster connectivity checks
  • Deployment documentation and handover

03 / 10

Data-Flow Development

Build flows with clear processing stages and understandable failure routes. We configure processors and controller services, organize reusable flow structures, and test the expected transformations with representative data before introducing them into production.

  • Processor and service configuration
  • Routing and transformation logic
  • Reusable flow organization
  • Functional and exception testing

04 / 10

System and Pipeline Integration

Connect NiFi to the selected databases, messaging platforms, files, and APIs in your environment. We validate authentication, data formats, and delivery behavior at each boundary so that integration issues can be isolated and resolved.

  • Database and API connectivity
  • Kafka and file integration
  • Format and schema handling
  • End-to-end delivery validation

05 / 10

Queue Management and Performance Tuning

Investigate slow flows and growing queues by following data through the processing path. We review back pressure, concurrency, processor scheduling, destination constraints, and repository usage before testing changes against the actual workload.

  • Queue and back-pressure analysis
  • Scheduling and concurrency tuning
  • Repository capacity review
  • Throughput and latency validation

06 / 10

Security and Access Configuration

Configure access to the platform and the systems it connects. We review authentication, authorization, transport encryption, and sensitive configuration handling, taking account of the operational access that developers and administrators require.

  • Identity and policy configuration
  • TLS connection setup
  • Sensitive parameter handling
  • Access and configuration review

07 / 10

Monitoring, Provenance, and Recovery

Make flow behavior easier to investigate when delivery slows or fails. We configure relevant monitoring, review provenance and error information, and develop recovery procedures that consider retries, replay, and their possible effects on downstream data.

  • Flow and queue monitoring
  • Provenance investigation
  • Failure routing and replay procedures
  • Recovery validation and runbooks

08 / 10

Flow Releases, Upgrades, and Maintenance

Manage platform and flow changes with appropriate testing and traceability. We help organize configuration promotion, assess processor compatibility, rehearse upgrades, and validate data delivery after the change so that routine maintenance is easier to coordinate.

  • Flow configuration change control
  • Environment promotion procedures
  • Upgrade compatibility testing
  • Post-release delivery checks

09 / 10

Technical Support

Get help with stalled processors, growing queues, failed connections, data routing errors, and unexpected repository usage. We examine the available evidence, coordinate investigation across the relevant components, and help your team identify corrective actions.

Support arrangements define the covered environment, service hours, communication channels, priorities, and escalation process. This gives your team a clear route for requesting assistance and following an issue through investigation, validation, and closure.

  • Incident investigation and troubleshooting
  • Configuration and integration assistance
  • Root-cause analysis within the agreed scope
  • Resolution guidance and incident documentation

Training and Knowledge Transfer

Build practical understanding of flow development, processor configuration, back pressure, provenance investigation, release practices, and recovery procedures. We tailor sessions to the environment and the responsibilities of the people developing, administering, and supporting it.

Workshops can use your configuration, representative examples, and agreed operating scenarios. Documentation and runbook walkthroughs help your team apply the knowledge after the engagement.

  • Role-focused technical workshops
  • Configuration and workflow walkthroughs
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance guidance
  • Documentation and operational handover

A practical approach to Apache NiFi

We trace a flow from source to destination and test normal and exceptional conditions. Handover focuses on how operators recognize a delivery problem, identify the affected stage, and recover without losing track of data already processed.

We agree the work and acceptance checks with your team, validate changes in a suitable environment, and document the outcome. Clear handover makes the configuration, operating procedures, and next actions easier to maintain after delivery.

Supported Versions and Support Hours

Supported versions

Versions below were confirmed against upstream release information on 15 October 2026. We reconfirm them at the start of each engagement.

  • Apache NiFi 2.x only (currently 2.12).

NiFi 1.x reached end of support on 8 December 2024 and is not supported. We help migrate 1.x flows to 2.x.

Support hours

Standard support is delivered in business hours, Monday to Saturday, India Standard Time. Coverage hours, response targets and escalation steps for each severity are defined in the service agreement. Upstream response times are outside our control.
