Debezium

Change data capture that connects database activity to your applications

We provide consulting, deployment, connector configuration, and operational support for change data capture with Debezium. We help organizations deliver database changes to data platforms, integration services, and applications through pipelines with clear delivery and recovery procedures.

A practical foundation for your team

Our work covers source database preparation, connector configuration, initial snapshots, streaming changes, and downstream integration. We coordinate with your database and platform teams to understand the effect on source systems and the responsibilities involved in keeping the pipeline healthy.

A change event leaving a database is one step in a wider data journey. Snapshot consistency, retained transaction logs, connector offsets, schema changes, and downstream processing can all affect the result.

We help your team define and test those dependencies so that a CDC pipeline is easier to operate and troubleshoot.

What we do

Our Debezium Services

01 / 10

CDC Assessment and Architecture

Establish whether the selected sources, connector versions, and deployment approach suit your requirements. We review change volumes, latency expectations, database access, and downstream systems before defining a practical implementation and operations plan.

  • Source database assessment
  • Connector compatibility review
  • Change volume and capacity estimates
  • Pipeline architecture and ownership

02 / 10

Source Database Preparation

Prepare the source database for the chosen Debezium connector. We coordinate required logging, permissions, connectivity, and retention settings with database administrators, and review how connector interruptions may affect retained logs and source capacity.

  • Connector prerequisite review
  • Database logging configuration
  • Access and network validation
  • Transaction log retention planning

03 / 10

Connector Deployment and Configuration

Configure Debezium connectors in the selected runtime and validate their behavior against representative source activity. We document configuration, dependencies, and state storage so that administrators understand how the connector is started, managed, and recovered.

  • Runtime and connector installation
  • Connector configuration
  • Offset and schema history setup
  • Functional change capture testing

04 / 10

Initial Snapshots and Data Onboarding

Plan the initial capture of existing data alongside ongoing database activity. We assess the connector's available snapshot approaches, review source impact, and validate data completeness before the pipeline is accepted for its intended use.

  • Snapshot approach selection
  • Source load assessment
  • Snapshot progress monitoring
  • Initial data reconciliation

05 / 10

Event Processing and Downstream Integration

Help downstream teams interpret change events and apply them correctly. We review event keys, operation types, deletes, schema evolution, and transformation requirements, paying attention to retries and the potential for duplicate event delivery.

  • Event structure and key review
  • Kafka and sink integration
  • Delete and update handling
  • Idempotency and reconciliation design

06 / 10

Monitoring and Performance Tuning

Make change capture delays and connector health visible to operators. We investigate source activity, connector throughput, runtime resources, and downstream constraints to identify where events are falling behind and what corrective action is appropriate.

  • Connector status monitoring
  • Capture lag investigation
  • Runtime and source resource review
  • Throughput validation

07 / 10

Failure Recovery and Data Validation

Prepare for connector restarts, source outages, and retention-related interruptions. We examine available offsets and logs, define the conditions for resuming or resnapshotting, and validate the resulting data so that recovery decisions are made with clear evidence.

  • Restart and resume procedures
  • Log retention incident analysis
  • Resnapshot planning
  • Downstream consistency checks

08 / 10

Upgrades, Security, and Maintenance

Manage connector changes with attention to source, runtime, and downstream compatibility. We review credentials and secure connectivity, rehearse upgrades, and validate event formats and continued capture before completing the operational handover.

  • Version and dependency assessment
  • Secure connection configuration
  • Upgrade and rollback planning
  • Post-change capture validation

09 / 10

Technical Support

Get help with failed connectors, incomplete snapshots, capture lag, schema history problems, retained-log growth, and downstream inconsistencies. We examine the available evidence, coordinate investigation across the relevant components, and help your team identify corrective actions.

Support arrangements define the covered environment, service hours, communication channels, priorities, and escalation process. This gives your team a clear route for requesting assistance and following an issue through investigation, validation, and closure.

  • Incident investigation and troubleshooting
  • Configuration and integration assistance
  • Root-cause analysis within the agreed scope
  • Resolution guidance and incident documentation

Training and Knowledge Transfer

Build practical understanding of connector configuration, snapshots, change event interpretation, monitoring, source dependencies, and recovery decision-making. We tailor sessions to the environment and the responsibilities of the people developing, administering, and supporting it.

Workshops can use your configuration, representative examples, and agreed operating scenarios. Documentation and runbook walkthroughs help your team apply the knowledge after the engagement.

  • Role-focused technical workshops
  • Configuration and workflow walkthroughs
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance guidance
  • Documentation and operational handover

A practical approach to Debezium

We validate both event capture and the resulting downstream data. Recovery plans account for source log availability, connector state, and the consumer behavior needed to handle repeated events without silently corrupting business results.

We agree the work and acceptance checks with your team, validate changes in a suitable environment, and document the outcome. Clear handover makes the configuration, operating procedures, and next actions easier to maintain after delivery.

Supported Versions and Support Hours

Supported versions

Versions below were confirmed against upstream release information on 15 October 2026. We reconfirm them at the start of each engagement.

  • Debezium 3.x (currently 3.7), running with a compatible Kafka Connect version.

Support hours

Standard support is delivered in business hours, Monday to Saturday, India Standard Time. Coverage hours, response targets and escalation steps for each severity are defined in the service agreement. Upstream response times are outside our control.
