Redis

Operational support for Redis caching and application data workloads

We provide consulting, deployment, administration, performance tuning, and technical support for Redis 8 and later releases selected under the AGPLv3 license. We help organizations run Redis for caching and application data use cases with clear configuration, monitoring, and recovery practices.

A practical foundation for your team

Our services consider how applications use Redis, the consequences of unavailable or evicted data, and the operating requirements of the selected topology. We work with your developers and infrastructure teams to align the deployment with its role in the application.

Redis workloads need decisions about memory, expiration, persistence, replication, and client behavior. A cache that can be rebuilt has different recovery needs from a system holding application state.

We help your team make that distinction explicit and test the operational behavior that the application depends on.

What we do

Our Redis Services

01 / 10

Architecture and Workload Assessment

Plan Redis around the data it holds and the way applications access it. We review data structures, request patterns, memory requirements, and recovery expectations before recommending a topology and an operating approach suited to the workload.

  • Cache and state use-case review
  • Memory and capacity planning
  • Standalone or cluster architecture
  • Availability and recovery requirements

02 / 10

Deployment and Application Connectivity

Prepare the selected Redis deployment and validate how applications connect to it. We configure runtime settings, networking, and client connection behavior, with documented checks for application compatibility and the operational dependencies of the environment.

  • Installation and configuration
  • Client and connection validation
  • Environment separation
  • Production readiness assessment

03 / 10

Cache Design and Data Lifecycle

Help application teams design cache behavior that remains predictable as data changes. We review key naming, expiration, invalidation, and the handling of misses so that performance improvements do not obscure correctness or freshness requirements.

  • Key and data structure design
  • TTL and invalidation strategy
  • Cache miss and rebuild behavior
  • Hot-key and stampede review

04 / 10

Memory and Performance Tuning

Investigate response time and memory pressure using command, workload, and resource evidence. We review data size, eviction policy, expensive operations, connection patterns, and application behavior before testing changes against the expected traffic.

  • Memory usage and eviction analysis
  • Slow operation investigation
  • Client pooling and pipeline review
  • Latency and workload validation

05 / 10

Replication and High Availability

Prepare Redis for agreed node and connection failure scenarios. We configure replication and Sentinel or Redis Cluster where appropriate, and test failover with application clients so that the team understands interruption behavior and possible data-loss windows.

  • Replication configuration
  • Sentinel or cluster setup
  • Client failover testing
  • Failure scenario documentation

06 / 10

Persistence, Backup, and Recovery

Define whether and how Redis data should survive restarts and infrastructure loss. We review persistence modes, backup storage, and restoration procedures, then test recovery alongside the application's ability to rebuild or reconcile the data it uses.

  • RDB and AOF configuration
  • Backup and retention planning
  • Restore and restart testing
  • Application data reconciliation

07 / 10

Security, Monitoring, and Administration

Keep access and operational health under review. We configure available authentication and permission controls, protect network exposure, and establish monitoring for memory, replication, persistence, and latency so that operators can act on meaningful signals.

  • ACL and authentication setup
  • Secure network and TLS configuration
  • Health and capacity monitoring
  • Routine administration and reporting

08 / 10

Migration, Upgrades, and Maintenance

Change Redis versions or deployment arrangements through a tested plan. We assess command and client compatibility, data movement options, persistence behavior, and rollback constraints, then validate application functionality and performance after the change.

  • Version and client compatibility review
  • Data migration planning
  • Upgrade and rollback rehearsal
  • Post-change application validation

09 / 10

Technical Support

Get help with memory pressure, unexpected evictions, connection failures, replication lag, persistence errors, and slow application operations. We examine the available evidence, coordinate investigation across the relevant components, and help your team identify corrective actions.

Support arrangements define the covered environment, service hours, communication channels, priorities, and escalation process. This gives your team a clear route for requesting assistance and following an issue through investigation, validation, and closure.

  • Incident investigation and troubleshooting
  • Configuration and integration assistance
  • Root-cause analysis within the agreed scope
  • Resolution guidance and incident documentation

Training and Knowledge Transfer

Build practical understanding of key design, cache behavior, memory management, replication, persistence, monitoring, and recovery procedures. We tailor sessions to the environment and the responsibilities of the people developing, administering, and supporting it.

Workshops can use your configuration, representative examples, and agreed operating scenarios. Documentation and runbook walkthroughs help your team apply the knowledge after the engagement.

  • Role-focused technical workshops
  • Configuration and workflow walkthroughs
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance guidance
  • Documentation and operational handover

A practical approach to Redis

We evaluate Redis together with the application using it. Tests cover expiration, eviction, restart, and failover behavior, giving your team a clearer understanding of what can be recovered from Redis and what must be rebuilt from another system.

We agree the work and acceptance checks with your team, validate changes in a suitable environment, and document the outcome. Clear handover makes the configuration, operating procedures, and next actions easier to maintain after delivery.

Supported Versions and Support Hours

Supported versions

Versions below were confirmed against upstream release information on 15 October 2026. We reconfirm them at the start of each engagement.

  • Redis 8.x under the AGPLv3 license (upstream supports 8.6, 8.4 and 8.2). Redis 7.4 and earlier are not covered. Redis Software and Redis Cloud are separate commercial products and are not covered.

AGPLv3: modifications to Redis that are exposed over a network carry source-code obligations. We advise on compliance and prefer configuration over code changes.

Support hours

Standard support is delivered in business hours, Monday to Saturday, India Standard Time. Coverage hours, response targets and escalation steps for each severity are defined in the service agreement. Upstream response times are outside our control.
