Valkey

Open source caching and data services with maintainable operations

We provide Valkey consulting, deployment, migration, administration, and technical support. We help organizations build and maintain in-memory data services for caching, application state, and other workloads supported by the selected Valkey release.

A practical foundation for your team

Our work brings application behavior and platform operations into the same discussion. We review data structures, expiration, memory, persistence, and availability so that your team understands how the service will behave during normal operation, load changes, and failures.

An in-memory service needs clear expectations about the data it can lose, rebuild, or recover. Client compatibility and failover behavior also need to be tested within the application that depends on it.

We help your developers and infrastructure teams define these expectations and translate them into practical configuration and operating procedures.

What we do

Our Valkey Services

01 / 10

Architecture and Workload Planning

Plan Valkey around application access patterns and the role of the data it holds. We assess memory requirements, growth, topology, and recovery expectations before recommending a deployment and operating approach suited to the workload.

  • Use-case and data structure review
  • Memory and capacity estimates
  • Topology selection
  • Availability and recovery planning

02 / 10

Deployment and Production Configuration

Establish Valkey with validated connectivity and documented runtime settings. We configure the selected environment, prepare administrative access, and test application connections so that the team has a clear baseline for production operation.

  • Installation and configuration
  • Network and client setup
  • Environment validation
  • Production readiness review

03 / 10

Migration and Compatibility Assessment

Evaluate a move to Valkey through application and workload testing. We review commands, clients, persistence data, and any module dependencies, then plan data transfer and cutover based on demonstrated compatibility rather than assumptions about interchangeability.

  • Command and client assessment
  • Module dependency review
  • Data transfer rehearsal
  • Cutover and rollback planning

04 / 10

Cache and Application Data Design

Help developers use Valkey predictably within application workflows. We review key organization, expiration, invalidation, and access patterns, including how the application handles a cache miss or rebuilds information when the service has been restarted.

  • Key and value design
  • TTL and invalidation review
  • Cache rebuild workflows
  • Hot-key and contention assessment

05 / 10

Memory, Latency, and Performance Tuning

Investigate memory growth and slow operations using workload evidence. We review data size, eviction policy, command behavior, client concurrency, and infrastructure constraints before testing changes against the application's performance and resource requirements.

  • Memory and eviction analysis
  • Slow command investigation
  • Connection and pipeline tuning
  • Workload and latency validation

06 / 10

Replication and Failover

Configure replication and the selected availability approach, then validate how the application reacts to node or connection failures. We review topology, client behavior, and possible data-loss windows so that failover expectations remain clear.

  • Replica configuration
  • Sentinel or cluster implementation
  • Application failover testing
  • Failure-response runbooks

07 / 10

Persistence, Backup, and Recovery

Define data protection according to the role Valkey plays in the application. We configure appropriate persistence and backup practices, test restoration, and document how recovered data is reconciled with any authoritative source or downstream system.

  • RDB and AOF configuration
  • Backup storage and retention
  • Restore testing
  • Application reconciliation procedures

08 / 10

Security, Monitoring, and Lifecycle Maintenance

Give administrators a maintainable operating routine. We review access controls and secure connectivity, configure health and capacity monitoring, and prepare tested upgrade procedures that account for the runtime, clients, and deployment dependencies.

  • Authentication and permission configuration
  • Health and resource monitoring
  • Version compatibility review
  • Upgrade and maintenance planning

09 / 10

Technical Support

Get help with memory pressure, connection problems, unexpected evictions, replication delays, persistence errors, and application compatibility issues. We examine the available evidence, coordinate investigation across the relevant components, and help your team identify corrective actions.

Support arrangements define the covered environment, service hours, communication channels, priorities, and escalation process. This gives your team a clear route for requesting assistance and following an issue through investigation, validation, and closure.

  • Incident investigation and troubleshooting
  • Configuration and integration assistance
  • Root-cause analysis within the agreed scope
  • Resolution guidance and incident documentation

Training and Knowledge Transfer

Build practical understanding of Valkey administration, cache design, migration validation, replication, persistence, monitoring, and recovery procedures. We tailor sessions to the environment and the responsibilities of the people developing, administering, and supporting it.

Workshops can use your configuration, representative examples, and agreed operating scenarios. Documentation and runbook walkthroughs help your team apply the knowledge after the engagement.

  • Role-focused technical workshops
  • Configuration and workflow walkthroughs
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance guidance
  • Documentation and operational handover

A practical approach to Valkey

We validate compatibility and failure behavior using representative application requests. Configuration recommendations are tied to data ownership and recovery needs, making it clear which information Valkey must preserve and which information another system can recreate.

We agree the work and acceptance checks with your team, validate changes in a suitable environment, and document the outcome. Clear handover makes the configuration, operating procedures, and next actions easier to maintain after delivery.

Supported Versions and Support Hours

Supported versions

Versions below were confirmed against upstream release information on 15 October 2026. We reconfirm them at the start of each engagement.

  • Valkey 9.1, with 8.1 and 7.2 as earlier lines we test against. Redis-to-Valkey migration is covered.

Support hours

Standard support is delivered in business hours, Monday to Saturday, India Standard Time. Coverage hours, response targets and escalation steps for each severity are defined in the service agreement. Upstream response times are outside our control.
