Docker Engine

Linux container operations with practical engineering support

We provide Docker Engine and Moby-based Linux container consulting, implementation, application containerization, and technical support. We help teams build and run containerized workloads with clear image, networking, storage, security, and maintenance practices.

A practical foundation for your team

Our services focus on the open source engine and its Linux operating environment. We work with your application and infrastructure teams to prepare repeatable builds, validate runtime behavior, and define the procedures needed to operate containerized services. Docker Desktop subscriptions are outside this service scope.

A container packages an application, but reliable operations also depend on the host, image sources, runtime settings, network connections, and persistent data. These dependencies need to be understood before workloads are moved into production.

We help your team manage the whole runtime path, from image build to application recovery and host maintenance.

What we do

Our Docker Engine Services

01 / 10

Container Assessment and Architecture

Assess which applications are suitable for the proposed container deployment. We review runtime dependencies, state, connectivity, resource requirements, and operating responsibilities before defining a containerization approach that fits the application and Linux infrastructure.

  • Application dependency assessment
  • Host and runtime planning
  • Stateful workload review
  • Containerization roadmap

02 / 10

Engine Installation and Host Configuration

Prepare Docker Engine on the selected Linux hosts. We configure daemon settings, storage and networking foundations, and administrative access, then validate the runtime and document host dependencies and procedures for ongoing operation.

  • Engine installation and configuration
  • Linux host readiness review
  • Storage driver assessment
  • Runtime validation and handover

03 / 10

Application Containerization and Image Builds

Help developers create maintainable container images and reproducible build workflows. We review Dockerfiles, build contexts, runtime dependencies, and application startup behavior, then test images against the functional and operational requirements of the workload.

  • Dockerfile development and review
  • Multi-stage build design
  • Image size and dependency review
  • Container startup validation

04 / 10

Networking and Service Connectivity

Configure container communication within the host and with external services. We review network modes, published ports, name resolution, and proxy dependencies, testing the connections applications need and documenting the intended exposure of each service.

  • Container network configuration
  • Port and connectivity validation
  • DNS and proxy integration
  • Network access review

05 / 10

Volumes, Persistence, and Recovery

Plan how application data survives container replacement and host incidents. We review volume use, permissions, backup consistency, and restore procedures, testing recovery with the application rather than treating the container image as a backup of its data.

  • Volume and bind mount design
  • Data ownership and permissions
  • Backup and restore validation
  • Application recovery runbooks

06 / 10

Runtime Security and Image Practices

Improve container and host configuration in the context of the application's needs. We review image sources, privileges, daemon access, secrets handling, and available isolation controls, then document configuration changes and their operational implications.

  • Image source and update review
  • Least-privilege runtime settings
  • Daemon access protection
  • Secret handling assessment

07 / 10

Monitoring and Runtime Troubleshooting

Give operators visibility into container health, logs, and resource behavior. We investigate failed starts, restarts, storage growth, and connectivity issues across the application, engine, and Linux host so that corrective action addresses the right layer.

  • Container and host monitoring
  • Log collection integration
  • Resource and restart analysis
  • Runtime incident investigation

08 / 10

Deployment Workflows, Upgrades, and Maintenance

Organize container rollout and host maintenance through tested procedures. We review image tagging, configuration changes, engine compatibility, and rollback requirements, then validate application behavior after container replacement or platform updates.

  • Image release and tagging practices
  • Deployment automation integration
  • Engine upgrade planning
  • Rollback and post-change validation

09 / 10

Technical Support

Get help with containers that fail to start, repeated restarts, networking errors, storage growth, permission problems, and host resource pressure. We examine the available evidence, coordinate investigation across the relevant components, and help your team identify corrective actions.

Support arrangements define the covered environment, service hours, communication channels, priorities, and escalation process. This gives your team a clear route for requesting assistance and following an issue through investigation, validation, and closure.

  • Incident investigation and troubleshooting
  • Configuration and integration assistance
  • Root-cause analysis within the agreed scope
  • Resolution guidance and incident documentation

10 / 10

Training and Knowledge Transfer

Build practical understanding of image builds, engine administration, networking, volumes, runtime security, troubleshooting, and application recovery. We tailor sessions to the environment and the responsibilities of the people developing, administering, and supporting it.

Workshops can use your configuration, representative examples, and agreed operating scenarios. Documentation and runbook walkthroughs help your team apply the knowledge after the engagement.

  • Role-focused technical workshops
  • Configuration and workflow walkthroughs
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance guidance
  • Documentation and operational handover

A practical approach to Docker Engine

We validate containers together with their host and external dependencies. Handover distinguishes replaceable images and containers from persistent application data, and includes the steps operators need to diagnose failures and restore a working service.

We agree the work and acceptance checks with your team, validate changes in a suitable environment, and document the outcome. Clear handover makes the configuration, operating procedures, and next actions easier to maintain after delivery.

Supported Versions and Support Hours

Supported versions

Versions below were confirmed against upstream release information on 15 October 2026. We reconfirm them at the start of each engagement.

  • Docker Engine 29.x (Moby) on Linux hosts, for single-host installations.

Docker does not support Docker Engine itself, and Moby support is best effort. We deliver independent support only. Docker Business and Mirantis Container Runtime are separate products and are not covered.

Support hours

Standard support is delivered in business hours, Monday to Saturday, India Standard Time. Coverage hours, response targets and escalation steps for each severity are defined in the service agreement. Upstream response times are outside our control.
