Business Background
A leading power producer operating a 500 MW lignite-based power plant faced persistent challenges in its mining logistics. Manual dispatch operations resulted in inefficiencies, including delays, errors, and limited visibility into fleet movement. These bottlenecks led to underutilized vehicles, higher operational costs, and disruptions in fuel supply to the plant. To achieve reliable dispatch and streamlined mining logistics, the company sought a fully automated, intelligent solution that could enhance dispatch accuracy, enable real-time monitoring, and drive operational efficiency.
Amnex Solution
Amnex developed and deployed GILDMS—an RFID-based Integrated Lime Dispatch Management System—tailored to GIPCL’s needs. With 53 RFID readers, 13 weighbridges, and 12 automated gates, the system streamlined vehicle entry, weighing, and dispatch. Integrated with SAP ERP and monitored by 31 high-resolution CCTVs, the centralized web application enabled seamless tracking, analytics, and decision-making. A dedicated Data Control Center offered live updates, ensuring end-to-end dispatch efficiency and oversight.
