One of India’s fastest-growing cities and a major hub for diamonds and textiles, faced growing traffic woes due to rapid urbanization. Rising congestion, frequent traffic violations, and increased accident rates disrupted daily commutes, business logistics, and emergency response efficiency. The existing traffic infrastructure was outdated and ill-equipped to handle modern challenges. To address these issues, city authorities introduced an Integrated Traffic Control System (ITCS) to enhance road intelligence, improve safety, and restore order across the transport network.
