Apache Spark

Distributed data processing with practical operational support

We provide Apache Spark consulting, implementation, application optimization, and support for distributed batch and streaming data processing. We help engineering teams develop workloads that fit their data, execution environment, and delivery requirements.

A practical foundation for your team

Our services cover the path from architecture and development to production operations. Whether a job is missing its processing window, a streaming pipeline is falling behind, or your team is planning a new platform, we investigate the workload and its dependencies before recommending changes.

Spark performance depends on the relationship between code, data layout, cluster resources, and the systems supplying or receiving data. Increasing resources alone may leave the underlying bottleneck unresolved.

We help your team understand execution behavior and build repeatable practices for testing, deployment, monitoring, and recovery.

What we do

Our Apache Spark Services

01 / 10

Architecture and Workload Assessment

Match Spark deployment choices to the processing workload and existing infrastructure. We review data size, transformation complexity, execution frequency, and integration requirements to guide resource planning and the organization of batch and streaming applications.

  • Workload and dependency assessment
  • Execution environment selection
  • Capacity and cost-driver review
  • Processing architecture recommendations

02 / 10

Deployment and Environment Setup

Establish a Spark execution environment that your team can reproduce and operate. We configure runtime dependencies, storage access, resource settings, and job submission procedures, then validate representative workloads across the selected infrastructure.

  • Runtime and dependency setup
  • Cluster and storage integration
  • Job submission configuration
  • Environment validation and documentation

03 / 10

Batch Pipelines and Spark SQL

Develop and improve transformations that prepare data for reporting, analytics, and downstream applications. We help structure jobs, validate business rules, and review Spark SQL and DataFrame operations for correctness and maintainability.

  • DataFrame and SQL development
  • Transformation and aggregation logic
  • Data validation and reconciliation
  • Reusable job structure

04 / 10

Structured Streaming Implementation

Build streaming workloads with explicit processing and recovery behavior. We review source and sink capabilities, checkpoint storage, event-time handling, and restart scenarios so that your team understands delivery behavior under normal operation and failure conditions.

  • Streaming source and sink integration
  • Checkpoint and state planning
  • Watermark and late-data handling
  • Restart and failure testing

05 / 10

Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting

Use execution evidence to identify why jobs consume excessive time or resources. We examine stages, tasks, shuffles, skew, partition sizes, and memory behavior, then test targeted changes using representative data and comparable execution conditions.

  • Spark UI and event-log analysis
  • Partition and shuffle tuning
  • Join and data-skew investigation
  • Executor and memory configuration

06 / 10

Data Lake and Platform Integration

Connect Spark processing to the storage and analytical systems your architecture requires. We review file layouts, table formats, connectors, and access patterns, checking that the chosen combination supports the required reads, writes, and maintenance activities.

  • Object storage integration
  • Apache Iceberg table workflows
  • JDBC and Kafka connectivity
  • Connector compatibility validation

07 / 10

Monitoring, Reliability, and Operations

Make job health and data freshness visible to operators. We establish relevant metrics, error reporting, scheduling integration, and restart procedures, with attention to failed runs, partial output, retained state, and the operational ownership of pipeline dependencies.

  • Job and resource monitoring
  • Failure alerting and triage
  • Retry and recovery procedures
  • Data freshness and output checks

08 / 10

Upgrades, Packaging, and Release Practices

Reduce uncertainty when code or runtime versions change. We organize application packaging, dependency review, test execution, and deployment procedures so that your team can validate outputs and performance before promoting a release into production.

  • Application packaging review
  • Runtime compatibility assessment
  • Regression and workload testing
  • Deployment and rollback planning

09 / 10

Technical Support

Get help with failed stages, executor losses, memory pressure, skewed jobs, streaming lag, and incorrect or incomplete output. We examine the available evidence, coordinate investigation across the relevant components, and help your team identify corrective actions.

Support arrangements define the covered environment, service hours, communication channels, priorities, and escalation process. This gives your team a clear route for requesting assistance and following an issue through investigation, validation, and closure.

  • Incident investigation and troubleshooting
  • Configuration and integration assistance
  • Root-cause analysis within the agreed scope
  • Resolution guidance and incident documentation

Training and Knowledge Transfer

Build practical understanding of Spark SQL, execution analysis, partitioning, streaming checkpoints, dependency management, and production job operations. We tailor sessions to the environment and the responsibilities of the people developing, administering, and supporting it.

Workshops can use your configuration, representative examples, and agreed operating scenarios. Documentation and runbook walkthroughs help your team apply the knowledge after the engagement.

  • Role-focused technical workshops
  • Configuration and workflow walkthroughs
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance guidance
  • Documentation and operational handover

A practical approach to Apache Spark

We compare correctness, runtime, and resource use together. Recommendations are tested against representative input, and recovery procedures account for the data already written so that an apparently successful rerun does not conceal duplicate or incomplete results.

We agree the work and acceptance checks with your team, validate changes in a suitable environment, and document the outcome. Clear handover makes the configuration, operating procedures, and next actions easier to maintain after delivery.

Supported Versions and Support Hours

Supported versions

Versions below were confirmed against upstream release information on 15 October 2026. We reconfirm them at the start of each engagement.

  • Apache Spark 3.5 LTS (security fixes until November 2027) and the 4.x line.

Support hours

Standard support is delivered in business hours, Monday to Saturday, India Standard Time. Coverage hours, response targets and escalation steps for each severity are defined in the service agreement. Upstream response times are outside our control.
