This award highlights Gandhinagar’s commitment to advanced urban safety and reflects the collaborative efforts and innovative technology that have positioned it as a model city.

Through 350+ surveillance cameras, 40 smart poles, and the management of the Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC), a tech-driven security network has been created, ensuring round-the-clock safety. Further reinforcing this security, 18+ emergency call boxes, 24 address systems, and 40 panic buttons have helped establish Gandhinagar as one of India’s safest cities.

Our Smart poles, equipped with advanced sensors like PTZ cameras, Wi-Fi, variable messaging signboards, panic buttons, and environment sensors, create a robust surveillance network that allows citizens to reach authorities instantly in case of emergency. This integrated system not only improves security and accessibility but also reduces maintenance downtime and costs.

At the heart of these efforts, the ICCC acts as the nerve center for Gandhinagar’s security operations, enabling real-time monitoring and swift response to incidents. The integration of surveillance cameras with street lighting has established a powerful surveillance system that empowers the police department to monitor public areas and detect suspicious activities. Enhanced security across public spaces has fostered a sense of safety for residents and visitors alike.

The recent UMI Conference in Gandhinagar drew over 2,200 delegates and 75 exhibitors from around the world, showcasing some of the most advanced urban mobility solutions. Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal praised Gandhinagar’s success, emphasizing India’s progress toward One Nation, One Card—the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC), which advances seamless urban mobility across India.This award reaffirms Amnex’s commitment to driving smart city innovation.
